Um, so yeah a bit has happened lately! I've picked up my tickets which is WAY exciting!! They're old school paper tickets that I've never had before, I've always had E-Tickets. My Dad's birth certificate has come in, but I'm still waiting on my Gran's. Fingers crossed that comes in the next couple of days! But I think I may have misplaced my bc when I moved, cos I'm having a few difficulties finding it. Mum seems to think its at her place, so lets hope so!
I'm still a bit stressed about the whole getting a visa. One of the requirements is "Evidence that you intend to work in the UK or proof of funds if you have not arranged employment". So what I want to know is what they require as 'evidence' or what qualifies as 'sufficient funds'. I've emailed the BHC asking them that, and if a letter from a recruitment agency can be used. I just got told that no a letter can't be used, and I have to show what funds I have and they'll make a decision from that. Um thanks. So then I called them (which by the way you can only call the office in Canberra about visas, and it is a 1900 line that you have to pay for!!) and the guy I spoke to said that when you fill in the application form, you just have to say what kind of work you are looking for. And that is the 'evidence' they need...I hope so!
Um...not sure what else has been happening. I'm thinking of staying at a hostel for the first week I'm there instead of crashing (sorry dossing) with friends, cos that way I'm not a tag along, and hopefully get to meet new ppl!
Well that's all for now, back to work I guess, and all the stupid ppl I have to deal with.
